In most cases, you are not charged twice. What you’re seeing is usually:
1. A temporary authorization hold (pre-authorization)
2. The final charge after your laundry is processed
What Is a Pre-Authorization?
When your laundry is picked up, we may place a temporary hold on your card.
This hold:
Verifies your payment method Reserves funds Is not a completed charge
It may appear as:
“Pending” “Processing” “Temporary authorization”
When Will the Pending Charge Disappear?
Authorization holds typically disappear within:
1–3 business days
In some cases (depending on your bank), it may take up to:
5–7 business days
If the first charge still shows as “pending,” it will automatically drop off.
What If Both Charges Are Posted (Not Pending)?
If you see:
Two completed (posted) charges With the same amount On the same service date
Please contact us and include:
A screenshot of both charges The last 4 digits of your card and the invoice number. We will review immediately.
How to Confirm Your Actual Charge
You can view your finalized invoice:
In the HappyNest app On the website under Invoices or the invoice sent to your email.
The invoice shows the exact amount that was processed.
